Senior Autonomous Driving Architect
We are now looking for a Sr Autonomous Driving Architect:
AutoCore autonomous driving team is creating and productizing leading-edge machine learning / AI techniques for driverless cars on a range of heterogeneous computing platforms.
AutoCore’s unique and innovative solution paves a completely different yet disruptive innovation path for OEMs, Tier 1 and Tier 2.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead in a focused effort to develop and productize groundbreaking technologies that will revolutionize the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars.
Work with a team of engineers and researchers to build high-quality automotive software solutions.
You’ll drive functional safety deliverables and translation of the outcome in the system specification, creating and maintaining the subsystem specification for all the requirements related to the external sensor. The Automated Driving Engineer is also responsible for the integration (mechanical, electrical, diagnostics, logical) of the subsystem into the vehicle and delivering the functional and non-functional safety requirements for specific subsystems.

You’ll have the ability to work effectively within technical teams, having a real enthusiasm for developing complex systems. You’ll need the ability to create reports and analyse and interpret statistical data based on various key metrics. You’ll be a strong communicator, and you’ll have the confidence to present to stakeholders at all levels.
With effective leadership skills, you’ll have the ability to coordinate and support groups of people through complex processes in a fast paced and demanding environment. A degree or relevant experience is preferred.
What We Need To See
A MS or PhD degree in CS, CE, EECS or related engineering or computer science degree.
8+ years of working experience and proficient in writing C and C++ code for Linux.
You should have 5+ years of experience in high-tech industrial software development working on large scale software projects, preferably related to automotive products.
Sufficient educational background to understand the science and mathematics behind computer vision, machine learning, car physics, geometry, and trigonometry.
Working knowledge of computer vision and machine learning / AI is an advantage.
Proving experience in ADAS, and connected and automated systems, architectures, sensors and actuators
Proving experience in safety-critical software-intensive control systems
Proving experience in simulation toolset
Enthusiasm to take on new challenges and learn new skills.
Understanding of ISO26262
Experience working with typical vehicle communication protocols/interfaces: CAN, CANFD, LIN, MOST, LVDS, Automotive Ethernet, etc.
Experience in systems integration, vehicle testing, and vehicle launch is a plus
Experience in developing ASIL compliant software
